Safety Sweeps

In the event of a fire, a Smoke Alarm is your first line of defense. That’s why the Baltimore City Fire Department offers FREE Safety Sweeps to city residents. Each week, members of the fire department conduct Safety Sweeps throughout the city to offer residents fire safety resources, create home escape plans, help families identify at least two ways out of the home, and install smoke alarms where needed. If residents aren’t home or need working smoke alarms, please call 3-1-1.
