The Baltimore City Fire Department is hosting its first “Camp Spark” – a Fire Service Empowerment Camp for Girls. The FREE two-day camp will expose girls aged 12-16 to career opportunities within the fire service.
Camp Spark will be held on Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5 from
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will be held at the Fire Academy.
If you want to engage in two days of fun and learning, then Camp Spark is for you! Campers will have the opportunity to participate in real-world firefighting experiences, focus on team-building, engage in hands-on Fire/EMS simulations and much more. There also will be opportunities to speak one-on-one with fire department members about their experiences and career preparation.
Applications are now being accepted. The submission deadline is Thursday, July 26, 2018.

At the conclusion of Camp Spark (Sun. Aug. 5), a brief graduation ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. to acknowledge the achievements of each camper. Parents, guardians, friends and family members are invited to attend.
